...जब कोस्ट गार्ड ने बचाया लुप्त हो रहे समुद्री जीव का जीवन

इंडियन कोस्ट गार्ड सिर्फ भारतीय तटों की निगरानी ही नहीं करती, बल्कि समुद्र के हर दुर्लभ और लुप्त हो रहे जीव के जीवन की भी रखवाली करती है। 24 अप्रैल को पाकिस्तान से सटी समुद्री सीमा पर गश्ती के दौरान कोस्ट गार्ड के पोत आईसीजीएस रजिया सुल्तान ने लुप्त हो रहे एक ओलिव रिडले कछुए की जान बचाई। यह कछुआ समुद्र में  एक जाल और कुछ प्लास्टिक कचरे में उलझ गया था। कोस्ट गार्ड के गश्ती पोत ने जैसे ही कछुए को फंसा देखा तुरंत अपने एक बचाव दल को रवाना किया। इस टीम ने कछुए को जाल से छुड़ाया और फिर अरब सागर में छोड़ दिया।
